Its important to remember when checking your plugs that you keep in mind a few basic facts.
I)The exterior threads make up the plugs ground electrode.
II)Always read the point inside the plug body where the insulator and ground electrode meet for mixture settings.
Note: checking plug for ignition setting is just as important as mixture. Always watch the ground electrode for the burn back which will seem silver in color and travel from the tip to the plug body or threads. 3/4 to 7/8 silver color will indicate a good ignition setting
III)Mark the plug so as to face the open end of the plug towards the boost port transfer and away from the exhaust port for best results
IV)Last of all learn from your mistakes by keeping notes and learn so its fun to ride your toy!!
